About Gonzo Gear

Gonzo Gear is a small scale cottage gear company. Gonzo Gear is made and operated by thru hiker Connor “Gonzo” Kenney in Stevenson, Washington. All of our gear is made and manufactured in the United States, so every piece of gear supports paying a living wage. Each piece of gear is either made to be environmentally responsible(such as our ECO silpoly tarps), or completely made in the United States (such as our DCF tarps).

Hey I’m Gonzo! I’ve hiked most of the Pacific Crest Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, and the Colorado Trail. I’ve used mostly my own gear on all these trips, and put a ton of thought and miles into pushing each piece to it’s limits. I made Gonzo Gear with the goal of bringing long distance trails into my life as much as possible. The end goal is to have a gear store on a long trail to be around the thru hiking community year after year. Biggest inspirations are Yogi on the PCT, The Dinsmores on the PCT, Luna and Will on the CDT, and Dave with High Divide Outfitters on the CDT.
